This year it seems my garden's been a crawling carpet of ants. I've watched in dismay as one by one my tubs on the yard have been invaded by ants, subsequently destroying the bedding plants, herbs and shrubs in them. I've upturned paving slabs and rockery stones in search of nests and dusted around my doorsteps ...but the ants are relentless and I still had two armies inside the house ..and still daren't sit on the lawn or even stand still for too long in case I inadvertently transported them back into the house on my shoes and clothes. There must be a cheaper, organic way to reduce the numbers although my main worry is the work and cost involved in replacing all my potted plants. What can I do ?
