Hi
I wonder if I can get some feedback please.
I November last year I tripped on an uneven paving slab on train station property.
I lost a week off work, damaged my phone and broke a bracelet which belonged to my late Mum. I injured my knee, went to hospital and was told I hadn't broke it but had badly bruised it etc.
3 months on, and visits to the Doctor, I have fluid on my knee and Doctor thinks I had badly damaged my soft tissue etc. Bruising lasted 1 month, Ive been put on anti inflammatory tablets which haven't worked, I'm still getting daily pain (but only when I cross my legs or bend my knee)
First Great Western Group have so far offered me
complimentary train ticket
I wrote back saying that it was not sufficient - considering the loss of earnings alone.
They today offered me £500
They have my doctor/hospital notes etc.
I am due to see my own doctor for this pain in my knee again on 4th March and I am expecting to be refer erred to Physio.
Has anyone had any similar experiences/claims? I am wondering what figures would be accurate etc..
Obviously if I am still suffering this daily pain in 6 months or more or if the fluid on my knee has to be drained etc and I accept this offer now yet I'm still undergoing treatment how does this reflect in the offer they have made?
