I have come to a conclusion that there are only two reasons as to why humans choose to live life.
1). The believe someday God will let them walk streets paved of gold(heaven).
This reason is chosen by all religious people, heaven is mentioned in almost all religions, and is often said to be the prize after life.
2). Humans are afraid of death they despise the idea as they do not know what lies beyond, that's why they don't kill themselves.
This reason is chosen by non-religious people, these people reject the idea of God and believe in evolution, this is why they don't understand death and fear it.
