my family is pretty poor, mainly because my mum had to raise me and my sister without my father. my girlfriend's father pretty much has an empire responsible for half the architecture in my city. her family is loaded. and while i am hopelessly boring, she is infinitely interesting and though i am good-looking, she is inconceivably gorgeous; she is passionate and carefree and I am serious and intense. I just don't know how long this can last.
i know this shouldn't bother me but it does. and when she asks what my mum does for a living, i don't want to make her feel embarrassed to have asked.
despite being in full-time education, i'm getting a job. how am i supposed to create a balance between a job to support my family, my girlfriend, and an education that will pave my future?
oh and i'm 17 and studying my A-levels.
I cant be anything other than myself. I don't have the time or acting skills to create a stupid persona.
