I have just had some paving slabs laid in my driveway.The contractor told me it was alright to lay them loose without any mortar, even though it is used for vehicles. Is this right? I have since read that insects love to nest under loose laid slabs, particularly ants. Can anyone tell me if they have found this to be the case as I am already plagued by ants and large spiders. Also if this is the case are there any suggestions as to what I can do to remedy this?
