OK so I'm 26 and 2 years ago me and my fiancee brought a brand new 3 bedroom house which falls in one of the cul-de-sac's in a recently new built neighbourhood. Our house is at a right angle to our neighbours who moved in about a month ago and have been causing us problems with the drive.
The houses are identical except for the fact that ours was built with an attached garage and the one next door wasn't, so there is only one drive way (our's). The people who lived there before had a son who is disabled and they asked if they could add onto our driveway, and of course I had no problem with that whatsoever, they put some really smart block paving down and it looked great. Anyways because of the parking situation and their son, they decided that they needed to move and so about a month ago the new neighbours move in, except they have started using our driveway, not just to access the block paving down the side of their house, but actually parking on my drive, because they have 2 cars. Our drive holds up to 3 vehicles quite comfortably, and up until the old neighbours left we just had our 2 cars parked on the drive, but since they've moved I've been parking my van back on drive only to come back and find I can't because of next door and its pissing me off because he thinks its a shared drive and he told me to fuck off, saying what do I know.
Me and my bother both work in construction and we both went to uni after our apprenticeship, I did Construction Project Management and he did Building Surveying, so I say we know more than him, the problem I am having is my partner really doesn't want me making trouble and has told me to leave it alone and to park the van elsewhere, but why should I, especially when i know I'm right.
