I have put up a Picket Fence to the side of my property. Yes, I was caught in the moment as the next door neighbour was having his drive paved, and I thought it was a good idea to put up a 3ft picket fence. The builder was going to put it up for me, whilst working there. I now now it has to come down!. BUT my next door neighbour the other side has an 18" brick wall, which looking at my planning information when I moved in can be done. The question is can I cut down my picket fence as it is to 18" and not have the Environment Officer breathing down my neck...? OR shall I go back to my local council and see what they can offer me. I do note that its £150.00 for planning permission and hoped someone could help me save money.
