We want to lawn our garden and after removing the paving we found a good 4 inches of yellowish sand (builders' sand?). What's the best thing to do with it before laying the lawn with grass rolls?
Get rid of all of it? Or can I mix all of it or some of it with the soil underneath, which incidentally bears a lot of chalk chunky stones/pieces before laying the lawn?
